The panels, which were installed at Cuesta’s construction technology center, are expected to produce 3.2 kilowatts. SunPower Corp., headquartered in San Jose, donated the panels to Cuesta; the value of the panels was not disclosed.
The company is in the process of getting permits to install nearly 2,000 acres of solar panels and other facilities in the eastern end of California Valley.
