Three men were arrested Sunday for allegedly using spray paint to graffiti residences, businesses, sidewalks and trees in the 800 block of Boysen Avenue in San Luis Obispo.

Police Sgt. Sean Gillham said damage done by the suspects was valued at several thousand dollars.

A citizen called police at 2:23 a.m. to alert officers to the suspects in the act of the spray painting, Gillham said.

As officers arrived, they found Fabio Cesar Qaswan, 23, of Canoga Park, and Richard Ralph Price, 30, of Nipomo, at the scene and arrested them.

The third man, 25-year-old Christopher Glen Knowles of Cayucos, ran away, but was caught a short distance away.

“All three suspects had physical evidence on their hands and clothing that connected them to the graffiti vandalism,” said Gillham.

More than a dozen locations were allegedly vandalized by the trio, he said.

The suspects were booked into County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism and were booked in lieu of posting $10,000 bail each.
