Templeton man accused of child molestation fired from job at Twin Cities hospital

Templeton resident Donald Baker, who’s being charged with child molestation, has been fired from his job at Twin Cities Community Hospital, the hospital has announced.

Donald Baker, 39, was terminated a few weeks ago, said Jason Chang, the hospital’s spokesman. Baker was the former Director of Critical Care at the Templeton hospital.

Baker is facing eight criminal charges, including lewd acts against a child and possession of child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty.

Sufficient evidence was presented by the prosecution on Wednesday to proceed to trial, Judge Barry LaBarbera ruled.

Baker’s next court appearance is a further arraignment on Dec. 1 in LaBarbera’s court.
