Overheated microphone system shuts down Pismo Beach meeting

A malfunctioning microphone system interrupted Pismo Beach’s Planning Commission meeting tonight, forcing the advisory board to postpone its meeting.

The commission was in the midst of its meeting at City Council Chambers, 760 Mattie Road in Pismo Beach, when an electrical smell was detected coming from the microphone system used during meetings, Cal Fire said.

Firefighters shut down the overheated system.

The Planning Commission meeting will be postponed until a later date.
