An upper-level low-pressure system developing off the Central Coast is expected to bring thunderstorms and rain to the region through today, according to John Lindsey, a local forecaster and media representative with PG&E.
That system is forecast to move south along the coastline through today and then southeast along Southern California through Wednesday.
Brief but heavy rain showers, as well as hail, gusty winds and lightning, can accompany thunderstorms, Lindsey said. See Page S10 for the full forecast.
