The International Bugatti Rally is scheduled to stop overnight Thursday in San Simeon. Up to 70 curvy cars built from 1920 (a Brescia) to 2010 (a Veyron) started from Monterey on Monday. The rally is due to leave Santa Cruz on Thursday morning and come down Big Sur before stopping at Hearst Castle for a tour.
Participants in the rally, organized by American Bugatti Club, are to stay in San Simeon motels overnight.
The classic automobiles are due to leave San Simeon between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Friday morning, passing through Cambria on their way to the Santa Ynez Valley for wine tasting and an overnight stay in Solvang, according to club member Jeff Becker. Saturday the cars are to pass through Santa Barbara on the way to a closing dinner at the new French Automotive Museum in Oxnard.
