SLO County Roundup 8/10

Paso Robles

The public can weigh in this month on a revised conceptual plan that would add hundreds of homes to the city’s northeast side.

The Chandler Ranch Area Specific Plan, for which the city has already advanced some costs to developers, was first drafted in 2004.

A number of elements changed over the years, and in early 2009, the Paso Robles City Council decided that any additional costs would be the responsibility of several property owners involved.

The plan’s alterations over the years have included changes to traffic, water supply options and community needs, according to city staff.

The council also determined in 2009 that moving forward with its consideration of the project would be one of its top goals.

The City Council has set a joint workshop between the public and the Planning Commission at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 to discuss a revised Chandler Ranch plan.

Those with questions about the project can call the city’s planning division at 237-3970 or go to the meeting.
