A man who was shot during a struggle at a Morro Bay home this morning has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Chief Tim Olivas said the shooting occurred about 4 a.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Laurel Avenue. Marc Steele, 35, showed up at the home with a handgun and became involved in a struggle during which shots were fired, police said.
Steele and some of the other individuals involved moved shortly after the shooting to another home in the 2800 block of Hemlock Avenue. The other individuals were not identified.
Steele was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of assault with a firearm and burglary. He has a post office box in Cambria, police said, but his city of residence had not been determined.

Steele was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo with serious injuries. He was in recovery this afternoon following surgery at the hospital, Olivas said.
Police said the individuals involved all knew each other and there is no danger to the community.
