Caution tape has been placed around the guard rails on the second and third floors San Luis Obispo Superior Courthouse because of an observed abnormal bending of the railing, according to county officials.
The tape keeps the public from leaning against the railing. The county is analyzing the bend and seeking the best solution to keep the public safe and officials plan to resolve the issue by the end of August, said Katie Perez, the county’s deputy director of General Services.
It’s a running joke around the courthouse, however, that the tape looks like a crime scene, according to court officials.
