Police seeking SLO woman who may be taking her children to Mexico unlawfully

UPDATE: Grover Beach police detectives on Tuesday located the 1997 Ford Expedition belonging to a San Luis Obispo woman who they still believe is headed to Mexico with her three children, of whom she does not have custody.

Mireya Graciano, 30, was seen in front of a Grover Beach foster home where the children live about an hour before officers were called at 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Officers continue to seek information to the whereabouts of Graciano and 7-year-old Mindy Ochoa, 9-year-old Briana Ochoa and 11-year-old Tania Ochoa. Police believe she may be headed to the Tijuana area.

Original story: The Grover Beach Police Department has alerted law enforcement agencies and is asking for the public’s help in locating a San Luis Obispo woman who may be headed to Mexico with her three children, of whom she does not have custody.

Police said that Mireya Graciano was seen in front of a home at 53 Parkview Ave. in Grover Beach about an hour before officers were called at 12:30 a.m. today.

Graciano does not have custody of the children, ages 7, 9, and 11, because of a San Luis Obispo Superior Court order in relation to child abuse allegations.

Police, concerned about the children’s safety, also alerted the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detail at the United States-Mexico border to help locate Graciano, 7-year-old Mindy Ochoa, 9-year-old Briana Ochoa and 11-year-old Tania Ochoa.

Graciano was last seen driving a brown or beige colored 1997 Ford Expedition with California license plate number 3VVW166.
