Paso Robles’ Downtown City Park was filled with thoughts of lavender Saturday, as attendees checked out various foods and watched how the fragrant flower can be distilled.
The Central Coast Lavender Festival also featured music, a kids’ area and such cuisine as oils, dipping sauces and ice cream.
The Central Coast Lavender Growers Association and the Paso Robles Main Street Association organized the festival.
The event was first held in July 2009 to honor an emerging local industry and to feature lavender producers, growers and farms from throughout the county, according to the grower association’s website, www.centralcoastlavender.com.
