Paso Robles

The Paso Robles City Library is hosting two workshops to encourage people to join the city’s water conservation efforts.

Low-water-use landscaping will be presented in a pre-recorded workshop with a step-by-step guide on converting lawns to Mediterranean landscapes with drip irrigation.

The presentations by Central Coast landscape professionals take attendees through project planning, plant selection, drip irrigation and maintenance topics.

The two workshops are planned for 1:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Space is limited, and registration is required. Sign up at the library’s main desk, 1000 Spring St., or call 237-3870.

Paso Robles imposes mandatory landscape-watering schedule restrictions between May and September because without it, city officials forecast, water demands would exceed what’s available during summer.
