DUI checkpoint planned for Saturday night in Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Police Department will hold a traffic enforcement checkpoint 7 p.m. today to 1 a.m. Sunday in the city to cut down on drunken driving.

The checkpoint is designed to check for drunken drivers and enforce traffic safety laws related to driver’s licenses and other serious criminal activity, police said.

It comes as thousands of wine lovers have visited Paso Robles for the annual Paso Robles Wine Festival, which concludes Sunday.

The location of the checkpoint was not disclosed.
