Arroyo Grande man found guilty of weapons charges

The Arroyo Grande man accused of illegal weapons charges was found guilty by Judge Michael Duffy in court today.

Howard Alan Krinsky, 62, was found guilty on all six felony counts of weapons-related crimes. Krinsky was accused of possessing and selling machine guns; prosecutors said he had 26 illegal weapons at his home in rural Arroyo Grande.

Krinsky shook his head a couple of times in the courtroom and walked out of court with his attorney after Duffy decided on the case. Duffy decided the case because Krinsky waived his right to a jury trial.

Krinksy is scheduled to return to Duffy’s court for sentencing on June 24. He faces up to eight years and eight months in state prison, prosecutors said.
