An Arroyo Grande man was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of possessing stolen property after sheriff’s deputies found him with a loaded .380-caliber handgun that had been reported stolen in San Luis Obispo.

Deputies also said that Colin Andrew Hill, 39, was carrying two large knives. Deputies responded to the Black Lake Canyon area in Nipomo after someone reported a trespasser at 9:55 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rob Bryn.

Deputies located Hill, who was wearing all black and a gray beanie cap. He was also arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He remained in County Jail on Monday in lieu of $20,000 bail.
