Local law enforcement agencies and the public gathered at Atascadero’s Veterans Memorial on Wednesday to honor the lives of officers who died in the line of duty.
The ceremony — which was part of National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day events — included a Warbirds flyover, a caravan of law enforcement vehicles and a ceremonial reading of the names of officers who died on duty in California since May 2009.
Tonight, the San Luis Obispo Farmers Market will host local law enforcement for a display of their emergency equipment and police dogs.
