Murder, weapons trials underway today in SLO

Two major trials are underway today in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court.

The first is the start of the murder case against the Atascadero woman accused of stabbing a Paso Robles High School graduate to death in August.

Kelsey Morasci, 28, is accused of killing 21year-old Everett Allen Quaid on Aug. 6 in an apartment in the 9300 block of Musselman Drive in Atascadero.

Quaid graduated from Paso Robles High School in 2006, and previously attended Lillian Larsen School in San Miguel.

In the second case, the trial continues today for Alan Krinsky, the Arroyo Grande man allegedly linked to an organized weapons-dealing operation after investigators found about 200 weapons near his Arroyo Grande house. The trial began Monday, but testimony gets underway in earnest today.

Investigators have said that it’s one of the biggest weapons busts in the past three decades in SLO County.
