Two people were arrested in northern San Luis Obispo County for allegedly making fake documents so illegal immigrants could obtain employment and possibly government benefits.

Olivia Hernandez Ortiz, 27 of San Miguel, and Jose Lopez Villalobos, 33 of Paso Robles, were arrested Monday night by U.S. immigration officials and San Luis Obispo County sheriff's deputies.

Both Ortiz and Villalobos are undocumented immigrants, according to authorities.

Search warrants were served in both San Miguel and Paso Robles just after 8 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.
