Google executive to speak at Poly

Johanna Wright, director of program management for web search for Google, will speak at Cal Poly from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

The talk will be at Harman Hall in the Performing Arts Center.

This presentation is free and open to the public. In her speech, titled “Innovations in Search @ Google,” Wright will share some of the search solutions Google has been working on, as well as the company’s innovation principles, Cal Poly officials said.

As director of product management responsible for web Search, Wright oversees the development of Google’s search-user interface and features. Prior to joining Google, she worked at a number of software start-ups in New York City.
