A Paso Robles man was arrested in connection with four drive-by shootings in and around the city.
Jacob Shearer, 20, was arrested March 25, according to a news release sent by the department Tuesday.
No one was injured in the shootings, which took place March 3, but homes and vehicles were damaged by bullets.
The shootings were reported at in the 2300 block of Larkfield Place, the 2400 block of Starling Drive, the 6500 block of Wagon Wheel Place and the 2000 block of Sage Brush Road. The last two addresses are in the county area.
Tips from citizens led investigators to Shearer and his suspected accomplice, 20-year-old Oscar Torres of Paso Robles.
A .22 caliber rifle and bullet casings were seized from a vehicle linked to both men, according to police.
An exact motive for the shootings is unclear, but it appears Shearer and Torres knew three of the four victims.
Torres is not currently in custody pending a review of the case by the District Attorney's Office.
Shearer is in County Jail, where bail has been set at $250,000.
