Atascadero stabbing investigation leads to three arrests

Atascadero police used information from an online anonymous tip to arrest two people in connection with a stabbing earlier this month, officials said.

A third person was arrested on drug charges.

The stabbing happened in the 7200 block of Santa Lucia Road about 9:30 a.m. March 17. Police served three search warrants during the investigation, which resulted in three arrests.

Police arrested 31-year-old Richard Garen Corbitt, of Atascadero, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. He was booked in County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bail.

Atascadero resident Daniel Lee Vasquez, 31, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, possession of a methamphetamine and marijuana for sale, and for possessing a drug-conversion lab. He was booked in County Jail and is being held on $525,000 bail.

Denise Ann Vasquez, 38, of Atascadero, also was arrested and charged with possession of meth and marijuana for sale, and for possessing a drug-conversion lab. She was booked at County Jail and is being held on $500,000 bail.
