Bakersfield woman arrested after allegedly crashing stolen cars in SLO

San Luis Obispo Police arrested a Bakersfield woman Monday after she allegedly stole two cars and crashed both of them while driving drunk.

Tamika Raley, 29, was driving a stolen Honda at 7 a.m. when she rear-ended a Budget rental truck on Madonna Road near the Highway 101 on-ramp, according to police. She then fled from the scene to a nearby neighborhood where she found an unoccupied truck that was on because someone was letting it warm up.

Police say Raley then crashed the truck into another vehicle as the truck’s owner followed her. Raley fled from that collision on foot and was caught by the truck’s owner.

Raley was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, two counts of auto theft, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics and possession of burglary tools.

She was booked into County Jail on $20,000 bail.
