San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Katcho Achadjian has picked up the endorsement of Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Bakersfield, in his bid to become the county’s next state assemblyman.
In announcing his endorsement, McCarthy said, "Katcho is an effective county supervisor and successful small-business owner who has the experience needed in Sacramento to create new jobs, spur economic growth and turn California around."
Achadjian, who represents South County on the Board of Supervisors, is finishing up his third term.
He is seeking to succeed Sam Blakeslee in the 33rd Assembly District, which encompasses San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County.
