San Miguel residents are being advised to take valuables out of and lock their cars after a rash of auto burglaries in the town over the past few months.
The burglaries have occurred overnight on 15th Street between K and L streets, 18th Street at L Street and in the 700 block of North River Road, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department. More than 30 people have been victimized.
Stolen items have included GPS devices, cell phones, laptop computers, purses and wallets.
Valuables should be locked in trunks if they must be left in vehicles.
