San Luis Obispo County celebrated the life and work of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend with ceremonies in its two largest cities.
In San Luis Obispo, Laguna Middle School celebrated with speakers, videos of speeches by civil rights leaders and musical artists Saturday.
On Sunday, the dance, drama and poetry of local youths filled a celebration of diversity in Paso Robles.
Rain kept the ceremonies — which included a performance featuring the Cal Poly Society of Black Engineers — indoors at Paso Robles City Hall.
