Victor Murillo Ramirez sought in connection with Nipomo stabbing

Sheriff’s officials released the name of a man they are searching for in the Nipomo area in connection with a stabbing there Thursday morning.

County Sheriff’s Cmdr. Brian Hascall urged anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of Victor Murillo Ramirez to call dispatch at 781-4550. Ramirez is 46 years old and a transient in the Nipomo area.

The incident started Thursday when a man entered the Carl’s Jr. restaurant on West Tefft Street at 9:06 a.m. and told employees there that he had been stabbed, Hascall said.

The man said that he was in his car in one of the pullouts near the onramp of Highway 101 at Los Berros Road when he became involved in a confrontation with a man on his bicycle, who stabbed him while he was still seated in his car.

Hascall said the two men knew each other, but he did not have additional details about their acquaintance.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken by ambulance to Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria, treated and released on Thursday.
