San Luis Obispo city firefighters are cleaning up after a fire that burned a small early 20th century house on the east end of town Thursday night.
The blaze broke out on the 600 block of Branch Street, near the Chilie Peppers restaurant just off of Broad Street, about 8:30 p.m.
Flames could be seen coming from an outbuilding behind the house, and smoke was coming out of the house's windows.
A crowd gathered from nearby homes, restaurants and bars to watch as firefighters battled the blaze.
