Man sought in stabbing reported at Nipomo Carl's Jr.

UPDATE: San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a Hispanic man who allegedly stabbed another man this morning in Nipomo.

The search started after a man entered the Carl’s Jr. restaurant on West Tefft Street at 9:06 a.m. and told employees there that he had been stabbed, said Cmdr. Brian Hascall.

The man said that he was in his car in one of the pullouts near the onramp of Highway 101 at Los Berros Road when he became involved in a confrontation with a man on his bicycle, who stabbed him while he was still seated in his car.

Hascall said the two men might have been acquainted. He declined to release any details about the victim, who was taken by ambulance to Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria.

Hascall said deputies are searching for a heavyset man with a bald head and a goatee.
