Work on Atascadero’s long-delayed Colony Square project continued this week, as the planned Galaxy Theaters building began to take shape.
Construction, which began in fall 2009, is expected to take one year.
Colony Square developer Jim Harrison has said he anticipates the 10-screen multiplex to open by the holidays.
The city has been without a movie theater since 2006, when Century Cinemas, owned by John Roush, was demolished to make way for Colony Square.
