Crime Stoppers has doubled its reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction in connection with the shooting death of an Arabian horse in Arroyo Grande.
The reward for information is now $10,000, which the Sheriff's Department said Friday is one of the largest reward ever offered for an animal cruelty case.
The shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 30. Staffers at the ranch in the 1200 block of Corbett Canyon Road discovered the two wounded horses the next morning. One of the mares was put down as a result of her injuries.
