Storm topples trees around San Luis Obispo County

Joni Kemp describes how her horse trailer was crushed by one of the many falling trees around her Cambria property. The week of wet and treacherous weather finally gives way to sunshine and calmer conditions today, according to local forecaster John Lindsey.

Drying out will begin this afternoon. Highs today will be in the 50s. Fog will form tonight in North County valleys and become widespread by Sunday morning. Sunday will remain dry, though, and slightly warmer. Rain will return starting Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday. Periods of heavy showers are forecast.
