A man was trapped between two vehicles after an allegedly drunk driver hit a parked car in San Luis Obispo at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Gabriel Payne, 39, was driving a red Toyota 4-Runner southbound on Augusta Drive when he hit a parked vehicle, according to police. That vehicle was pushed forward into a second parked vehicle.
Brenner Harris, 52, was sitting on the back of the second vehicle, and was trapped when the first car hit it.
Several people helped to free Harris between the two vehicles before medics arrived and took him to the hospital. Police said he had non-life threatening injuries to his leg.
Payne was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and was booked into County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000.
