A Nipomo man was arrested after deputies found that he had numerous items that had been reported stolen in the past few weeks.
On Dec. 22, sheriff's deputies on patrol spotted what they thought was a golf cart that had been stolen from Nipomo High School. The cart had been repainted, but the original paint was still visible.
The subsequent investigation led deputies to arrest Sean Micheal Toops, 19, in the 600 block of Pomeroy Road. Also found during the investigation was an $8,000 professional bicycle, liquor, a purse and other items taken over the past several weeks.
Toops was booked into County Jail on three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of marijuana possession. Bail was set at $60,000.
