San Luis Obispo Drivers on Highway 227 (Broad Street) can expect short delays starting Monday as Caltrans crews begin a three-day paving operation.
Work will take place in both directions from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., then resume from 7 to 11 p.m. next week, Caltrans officials said. One lane in each direction will remain open, and motorists can expect delays no longer than five minutes.
No work is scheduled in the southbound lanes during the afternoon commute from 4 to 7, officials said.
The $7.1 million project also includes recent improvements on South Street and the construction of a sidewalk on Madonna Road near the Highway 101 overcrossing.
