The Police Department announced that it has obtained enough donor funding to bring Santa’s Sleigh through Paso Robles this week.
He will visit neighborhoods from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly through Friday.
Officers follow Santa Claus around town in their patrol cars, alerting locals of his arrival with their sirens.

Santa stops every few blocks so children can come up to his sleigh and receive a candy cane.
The holiday tradition, now in its 11th year, was postponed by a week because the department was $2,500 short on the funding needed to run it. Last year, it was canceled before donors stepped in to bring it back.
Officers have looked to donors to maintain the event, one of many extras cut from the city’s budget during the recession. Local businesses and individuals have contributed $5,000 for officers’ overtime, fuel, a generator and other expenses in running the event.
