A San Luis Obispo girl is among 20 finalists selected for Gap’s annual casting call.
Seven-year-old Brooke Larson could appear in advertisements for the national retailer.
This fall, parents uploaded photos of their children to Gap’s Web site. Judges then sifted through nearly one million entrants to select 20 finalists – 10 children ages four and under, and 10 children ages five to 10.
The male and female finalists range in age from 11 months to 9 years and hail from California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New York and Michigan.
Images of the four winners will be featured in the windows of babyGap and GapKids stores across the nation. They’ll also receive a $1,000 Gap gift card and a trip to see the Tony Award-winning musical “The Lion King” in New York City or Las Vegas.
According to her online bio, Brooke loves animals, swimming and playing soccer, and dreams of becoming a fashion designer.
“My favorite movie is ‘Nancy Drew’ ‘cause she’s creative, fun and loves mysteries like I do,” Brooke says in a video.
Central Coast residents have from now through Dec. 21 to vote for their favorite finalists. They might even win a weeklong Caribbean vacation.
