A 16-year-old San Luis Obispo girl was found in Pismo Beach on Wednesday after she was reported missing and was believed to be traveling with a 52-year-old Michigan man.
Pismo Beach Police officers said they found the girl with the man, Bradford Mitchell, about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday after a search was conducted, San Luis Obispo Police Department officials said.
Mitchell was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He may face additional charges, police said.
Police received reports that the girl, a sophomore at San Luis Obispo High School, may have been traveling voluntarily with Mitchell and authorities said they think the two met online.

Detectives on Wednesday continued to investigate Mitchell’s alleged involvement with the teenage girl.
The Tribune is not naming the girl because she is a minor.
San Luis Obispo Police Capt. Chris Staley said it’s unusual for a 16-year-old girl to be spending time with a stranger who’s 36 years older.
Staley said police are looking into whether Mitchell has a criminal record.
Some of the girl’s friends said she was thinking of changing her hair color to blonde and thought she may have been en route to Michigan with the man, Staley said. She had been gone since Monday.
Concerned family members contacted police who launched the search.
