The board that controls Cuesta College has appointed Gil Stork as interim superintendent and president to serve up to 12 months.
Stork has worked at Cuesta for 43 years, in positions ranging from math professor to vice president of student affairs, a position he held for 14 years until his retirement in 2004. He is now a part-time math teacher at Cuesta.
Stork is expected to serve as interim superintendent and president until the Board of Trustees finds a permanent replacement for outgoing President David Pelham, who has announced he is leaving for a job in Abu Dhabi.
