Three people were arrested Saturday after a multi-jurisdictional investigation found a significant amount of property stolen from burglaries throughout the South County, including firearms, electronic equipment, narcotics and money, according to a news release issued by Arroyo Grande Police Department.

Police did not put a monetary value on the recovered items Monday. A news conference will be held this week with additional information, said Arroyo Grande Police Cmdr. Chuck Gerhart.

On Saturday three search warrants were issued for two residential locations in Arroyo Grande and one in Grover Beach. An additional warrant was also served on a storage container.

Christopher Layng, 32, of Arroyo Grande, Aaron Kirby, 32, of Arroyo Grande and Michael Wheeler, 29, of Grover Beach were arrested on suspicion of theft, possession of stolen property and various drug-related offenses, police said.

The Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Pismo Beach police departments, the regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team, state parole and the regional Narcotics Task Force assisted in the investigation.

Police are expected to release more information at a press conference Wednesday morning.
