Justin Spisak declined medical aid after a truck crash Thursday night because he said he was fine, officials said today.
The 21-year-old San Luis Obispo man died at a North County home Friday. Officials haven't commented on the suspected cause of death or if it could be linked to the accident. An autopsy is scheduled for today. Results are due in the coming weeks.
When the CHP arrived on scene Thursday night, Spisak didn't have visible injuries and had already declined aid from both the ambulance and fire department responders, CHP officer Leo Arace said. Spisak had also signed an ambulance release form saying he wasn't hurt, Arace said.
Spisak lost control of the Chevy Blazer he was driving after the trailer it was towing started whipping back and forth, according to the CHP.
