Black Friday shoppers will encounter cool temperatures today as a storm system makes its way down the California coast, local forecaster John Lindsey says.
The leading edge of the weather system will roll through this afternoon and bring with it winds expected to gust to more than 30 mph, Lindsey said. Temperatures will be about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Thanksgiving Day, meaning highs will be near 60 in both Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo.
Later tonight even colder air will filter in, ushering a chance of showers and even a thunderstorm, mainly on the county’s eastern end, Lindsey said. Lows will fall into the low-to-mid 40s.
The windy, unsettled weather will continue into Saturday. The winds will then turn offshore on Sunday and bring in warmer, sunny weather. Fair skies will prevail until next Thursday, when chances increase for a new round of unsettled conditions.
