The sentencing of Patrick Wollett, 20, who was convicted with Chad Westbrook of killing Joshua Houlgate in 2007, was postponed, and his attorney will file a motion for a new trial, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Wollett’s next hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25 in Judge Dodie A. Harman’s courtroom.
Wollett’s sentencing has been delayed repeatedly since his conviction on June 22.
His new attorney, Thomas McCormick, said he’ll file a motion for a new trial that includes an allegation of ineffective assistance of counsel by Wollett’s previous attorney, Greg Jacobson.
