Atascadero police looking for three people who beat and robbed teen

The Atascadero Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects who assaulted and robbed a 17-year old male resident Oct. 23 on the railroad tracks near Highway 41.

The victim was walking home around 9 p.m. when he was attacked by three unknown, possibly Caucasian, suspects. They punched the victim and then held him to the ground while repeatedly striking him with their fists and feet – leaving him with a broken jaw, multiple lacerations and bruises.

One of the three suspects had curly hair and the other two had shaved heads.

The suspects also took the victim’s wallet, hat and sunglasses, discarding the wallet at the crime scene after going through it.

The Atascadero Police Department is seeking any information regarding the identity of the suspects in this incident. The San Luis Obispo County Crime Stoppers organization is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Atascadero Police Department at 461-5051 or anonymously at 549-7867.
