Pink was the color of choice Thursday for the Paso Robles High School varsity football team as players supported National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The players have worn T-shirts on campus and around town every Thursday in October. They hope to raise awareness in addition to the $1,000 they’ve already collected to donate to breast cancer research, athletic trainer Todd Olivera said.
Team members also wear pink tape on their wrists and hands in addition to wristbands during their Friday games. Their next game is tonight’s homecoming game at War Memorial Stadium at Flamson Middle School.
