A 39-year-old Paso Robles woman was killed in a motorcycle wreck about 10:30 p.m. Monday near Spring Street.
CHP officers said Erin Kelly Norton was riding a Harley Davidson XL882 when she exited onto Spring Street off Highway 101 south, according to the CHP.
Officials said an unsafe turning movement in the off-ramp caused her to lose control of the motorcycle and apply the rear brake. She apparently struck the right curb and was thrown from the motorcycle.
She and the motorcycle skidded on the shoulder and in the lane. Initial reports from the CHP Web site indicate that the woman was found unconscious.

Officials said the woman was wearing a “lid” type helmet, which came off when she hit the ground. Alcohol has not been ruled out, according to the CHP. The incident is under investigation.
