A worker was hospitalized after being shocked by a power line while another was trapped in a basket lift in Atascadero early Saturday.
About 9:45 a.m. along Traffic Way north of downwown, firefighters found one person injured from the shock and a co-worker trapped 35 feet above ground after a mechanical failure of the basket lift, according to the Atascadero Fire Department.
Power lines were down, and had energized a nearby fence, authorities said.
San Luis Ambulance medics took the injured worker to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.

Atascadero firefighters rescued the trapped worker after a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. secured the power line, according to the Fire Department.
Authorities did not disclose the names of the workers, nor the type of business for which they were working.
The location where they were working was described as a “multi-family” residential complex.
