Paso High student allegedly had unloaded gun in locker on campus

An 11th-grader at Paso Robles High School was arrested this morning after officials said he hid a gun in his locker.

Paso Robles Public Schools officials said in a news release that the student, whose name was not released because he is a minor, showed the gun to a group of fellow students standing near his locker.

Those students then reported the incident to the assistant principal and teachers. Security staff apprehended the student and confiscated the unloaded revolver.

The student was arrested by the Paso Robles Police Department, according to school officials. He has been enrolled in the district since August 2008.

The district did not release additional information.
