The Cal Poly Alumni Association will host its homecoming weekend Friday and Saturday. The events begin Friday with the honored alumni banquet in the Chumash Auditorium.
The reception starts at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $60 per person.
This year’s recipients of the honored alumni award — the highest honor bestowed upon university alumni — include Ed Boutonnet, Wallace B. Gordon, Darran S. Littlefield, Arlene Chandler, Jon Monett, Paul L. Cousineau and Robert H. Davis.
Manfred Sander will receive the distinguished service award for 20 years of service to the university.

On Saturday, the Alumni Association will host its grand reunion lunch honoring the class of 1959 and earlier graduates. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. in the Robert E. Kennedy Library. Tickets are $20.
Following the luncheon, the Cal Poly homecoming barbecue tailgate party will be from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the O’Neill Green in front of the Orfalea College of Business.
Tailgate tickets are $20 for association members, $25 for nonmembers and $10 for youth ages 12 and younger. More than 3,000 alumni, family and friends are expected to attend the barbecue.
At 6:05 p.m., Cal Poly will host Southern Utah University in Alex G. Spanos Stadium. Tickets are $20.
