A 19-year-old Lompoc man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two felony counts of vehicular manslaughter and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving causing bodily injury.
Masson Blow is accused of causing a head-on collision in April that killed Ashleigh Vermillion, 21, and David Treen Jr., 30, of Visalia.
Blow allegedly was driving too fast on Highway 41 East two miles south of the San Luis Obispo/Kern County line when he lost control of his Volkswagen Passat and crossed into the oncoming lane, hitting a Honda Civic driven by Vermillion, according to the CHP. Treen was a passenger in the Civic.
The daughter of the man and woman killed, Jenna Vermillion, now seven months old, suffered major injuries in the crash but survived, according to authorities.
