Voters can now request vote-by-mail ballots for two local elections set for Nov. 3 - the uniform district election to choose a California Valley Community Services District director and the Paso Robles special election to determine water rates.
Those who live within the mail ballot precincts ‹ the California Valley Community Services District or city of Paso Robles, respectively - have until Oct. 27 to request vote-by-mail ballot through the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder's office by fax at 781-1111 or e-mail at email@example.com. The public can also stop by its offices at 1055 Monterey St. D120 Luis Obispo from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at 5955 Capistrano Ave., Suite B in Atascadero from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Those who registered to vote by Monday will receive a sample ballot pamphlet in the mail. Those who missed the deadline can still register to vote by Oct. 19, but will have missed the deadline for a mailed sample ballot.
Citizens residing in the City of Paso Robles or within the California Valley Community Services District have until Oct. 19 to be registered to vote in the Nov. 3 elections.
